Running it
The CK Worldwide CK17 TIG torch is a dependable air-cooled welding torch built for welders who need flexibility and control across a range of light-to-medium duty applications. Rated at 150 amps DC or 125 amps AC, this torch is designed to handle everyday fabrication, repair work, and hobbyist projects with ease. Its flexible head design allows for excellent maneuverability in tight or awkward joints, making it a favorite among welders who work on intricate assemblies, thin-gauge materials, or hard-to-reach seams. The torch body is constructed from durable materials that withstand the heat and rigors of regular TIG welding, ensuring long-term reliability on the shop floor or in the field. Compatibility is one of the standout features of the CK17 series, as it works seamlessly with the broad ecosystem of CK Worldwide consumables, including collets, collet bodies, back caps, and a variety of tungsten electrode sizes. This interchangeability means welders can fine-tune their setup for specific tasks, whether they're running fine detail work with smaller tungstens or handling slightly heavier passes within the torch's amperage range. The torch typically comes with a super-flex or standard cable, depending on the kit configuration, giving users the choice between added flexibility for detailed work or a more rigid setup for straightforward production welding. This adaptability makes the CK17 a versatile choice for welders who need one torch capable of handling multiple job types without constantly switching equipment. Ergonomically, the CK17 is designed with welder comfort in mind, featuring a lightweight profile that reduces fatigue during long welding sessions. The air-cooled design eliminates the need for a water cooling system, simplifying setup and making it an excellent option for mobile welding rigs, small shops, or situations where a water cooler isn't practical or available. Because it doesn't require the added plumbing and equipment of a water-cooled torch, the CK17 is easier to transport and set up, appealing to welders who value simplicity without sacrificing performance. Overall, the CK Worldwide CK17 TIG torch delivers a solid balance of precision, durability, and ease of use, making it a trusted tool for welders across a variety of skill levels and applications.
The CK Worldwide CK17 is a reliable, air-cooled TIG torch well-suited for hobbyists, fabricators, and light industrial welders who need flexibility and accessibility without breaking the bank. While it's not designed for high-amperage continuous production work, its durable build and wide consumable compatibility make it a solid choice for general-purpose TIG welding tasks.

I've been using the CK17 for about a year on my home shop projects. It's held up well and the flexible head really helps when welding in awkward positions.
Works great for aluminum and stainless welding. Only complaint is the cable gets a bit stiff in my unheated garage during winter.
Not meant for heavy industrial use but perfect for my fabrication side business. Parts are easy to find and replace.
I appreciate how light this torch is during long welding sessions. The flex head is a nice touch for tight spaces on exhaust work.
