These rods run smoother than any other 7018 I've tried. Great for out-of-position pipe welding, and the restrike is reliable even after sitting a bit.
Excellent weld quality and very consistent arc. Only downside is the cost compared to other low-hydrogen rods, but you get what you pay for.
Used these for my structural welding cert and passed with clean X-rays. Slag popped off almost by itself. Highly recommend for test-critical welds.
Great rods but you really need a rod oven to keep them dry. Once exposed to moisture, performance drops noticeably. Still my go-to for pressure vessel work.
